Gettysburg

Say Gettysburg and every kid past 3rd grade knows it was a battle during the Civil War but you have to see it to believe it. It's big! Big in area and big in the numbers of men killed and wounded. It is very depressing but the countryside is beautiful. All green and flowering when we were there with monuments of every size and description dotting the fields.

Washington DC -so much so little time

A girls best friend!! Diamonds..Hope Diamond. We really enjoyed visiting all the museums but there are just so many and 3 days just wasn't enough time. So we skipped the galleries in order to have time to tour the Archives and Library of Congress(what an amazing building...inside and out)

And this little babe is the famous Treasury duck that chose the sidewalk in DC to hatch her eggs.

Colonial Williamsburg

Carpenters and Coopers are not the same. First builds a structure and the second makes barrels, buckets and such
There was so much to see and not everything was open. The strange thing tho was you could hear the city in the distance but everything around us was no different than a day in 1773. This is just a sampling of my favorites. Carpenters and Coopers. Tailors and Gardens.
An appentice tailor.

So this is Hatteras? Pretty cool Rv.

Of course there are still lighthouses how else would they know where to land.

But we spent most of the day at Kill Devil Hill and the Wright Bros. Museum Tommorow Colonial Williamsburg... Being a tourist is tough work but pretty nice if you can get it.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN!!!

We wrapped up the last of the Target store in Myrtle Beach yesterday. OOHOO, Cleaned the Muffin,

I tossed my workboots(abit of a ritual with us)
and said "goodbye" to new friends.

All in all I think the remodel went pretty well but now the fun begins.
We have only gotten as far a Atlantic Beach NC where we found everything to start things out right. A beach for Ariel and we can sleep to the sounds of the waves.

Thats the last we'll see of that ring. She sacrificed it to the sea gods...Good Girl!

IF NOTHING ELSE ACCESSORIZE
Myrtle Beach is known for its golf courses, we know people in Oregon that have come here to golf, but not us. We didn't even squeeze in a round of minature golf but I did score some dandy head covers.

OPENING DAY
It was the season opener for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and we had tickets. We also had one helluva storm over us. O well the worst that can happen is a rain out. It did.

You can still do other good stuff like a little shopping, have a couple beers and make some new friends.

Properly attired for the weather of course complete with wet suits and snorkels.
